At the first Art & Practice interdisciplinary conference, Affordance Collective spoke on the panel “Architecture, Extraction and Migration”. Held at the UCL East campus, the conference brought together a number of artists and researchers to discuss relationships between their work and methods. Our film, Warehouses in the Sky, was screened alongside with Archives Also Die by Tosin Adegoke, a short film exploring the relationship between modernist architecture and British colonial archives of Nigeria. We discussed the convergence between Tosin’s and our own work - our critical lens on architecture and archives, and how our research draws on artistic methods and personal histories.

Affordance presented our research project, Warehouses in the Sky, at a cross-disciplinary symposium exploring the role and place of shapes and processes of shape-making in urban research, convened by the UCL Urban Laboratory.
